The Beautiful Hypocrisy That is Glenn Beck

The blog over at Another War For Jenkin's Ear has a couple of great posts about the beautiful hypocrisy that is the conservative media darling, Glenn Beck.

The first, Glenn Beck Was For the Bailout Before He Was Against It, reminds everyone that Beck actually supported the bailout after George Bush proposed it. In fact, his only complaint was that it WASN'T BIG ENOUGH:
But these are anything but normal times. I thought about it an awful lot this weekend, and while it takes everything in me to say this, I think the bailout is the right thing do.

The “REAL STORY” is the $700 billion that you’re hearing about now is not only, I believe, necessary, it is also not nearly enough, and all of the weasels in Washington know it

One of the focal points of the 9-12 Project are on these bailouts and how they are representative of a government out of control. Regretting your decisions is one thing, but Beck is pretending that he opposed it the entire time, as is witnessed by his claim that he "hated" Bush for the bailout on his show today:

The second post, "Glenn Beck Was Against Tying Political Movements to Historical Attacks, Before He Was For It" hits on the same point that I was making a couple weeks ago here. Glenn Beck is opposed to capitalizing off a terrorist attack when someone like Ron Paul does it, but when Glenn Beck does it? It's for a good cause.
